On Saturday, May 21st, dedicated runners, walkers, Zumba Fitness and yoga enthusiasts participated in OhioGuidestone's 4th Annual Run, Walk and Zumba event called the Promise Run! Each participant helped our Emergency Fund grow, which provides help to the children and families we serve. The Promise Run began at Wallace Lake and participants ran and walked through parts of Berea and the Metroparks Lake-to-Lake Trail, before returning to the starting location. Our Empowerment Sponsor, Medical Mutual helped to make this event possible through their generous support of our agency.
The morning was packed with fun and fitness! WKYC Meteorologist, Greg Dee, was our emcee and encouraged participants before the start of the race; Fostering Hope held a pre-race yoga warm up; Fierce Fitness CLE provided an energetic Zumba routine; and OhioGuidestone Workoforce 360 program participants cheered our runners and walkers on as they made their way through the course. Prizes were awarded for top overall male and female runners, top runners in each age category, and to the top fundraising team.
